The International Chartered Governance Programme is designed and taught by leading law and business academics and expert practitioners in corporate and public sector governance.

Bill Ross

Bill is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He has been involved in teaching Auditing, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Finance, Strategy and International Business at under-graduate and post-graduate level at various tertiary institutions. He has also been involved in delivering MBA modules for both Henley Management College (UK) in New Zealand, Hong Kong and South Africa, the University of Auckland and Auckland University of Technology. He is closely involved with CAANZ’s professional accounting qualifications, being a workshop facilitator, examiner and examination marker as well as preparing study materials on various accounting topics. He holds a BA in Accounting and Finance and an MBA. 

Bill is the Course Convenor for the Finance for Decision Making course.

Dr. Christopher Theunissen

Christopher’s career has included roles as diverse as police officer and academic, with experience in management, training and educational leadership. He has led various MBA executive education programmes in the public and private sectors, and has lectured and provided training to audiences across an array of subjects including strategy, leadership and management.

He is a qualified adult trainer and holds a BAdmin (International Relations), a BAdmin (Hons) (Public Administration), a MAdmin (Public Administration) and a DLitt et Phil (Political Studies).

Christopher is the Course Convenor for the Development of Strategy course.

Professor Dr. Dr. Jens Mueller MNZM

Jens has managed in and led, global businesses for 40+ years, in Europe, the United States and New Zealand as senior executive, CEO and Board Director. His teaching centres around working with MBA and Executive MBA students, in New Zealand, Colombia, Germany, UAE, China (as Professor at Shantou University Business School until 2021), the USA (as an Executive MBA instructor at Northern Illinois University for 30+ years until 2020 and 4 times Professor of the Year Winner) and Mexico (as Adjunct Professor of Tecnológico de Monterrey since 2022). 

Jens was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2015, and he holds two Doctorates (Governance and Law), three Masters (Business, Advanced Management, Tax Law) and two Graduate Diplomas (Immigration and Coaching). Jens is a member of the Australasian Law Academic Association and a Councillor, Chair of the Audit Committee and a Professional Member of the Royal Society of New Zealand.

Jens is the Course Convenor for the Corporate Governance course.

Terry Quilty

Qualified in Law with a B Com LLB from Otago and Masters in Law at Auckland (LLM hons). Terry also studied science and engineering and maintain a strong interest and undertake ongoing updating in both. His background is a mixture of teaching, research, and consulting originating with front line management roles in production management in steel, and moving to marketing, legal, and contracting, including as an in-house counsel. 

Terry has worked in both listed and non-listed with responsibility for company administration and shareholder management. He has been a director in a wide range of businesses as well as a shareholder in manufacturing, tech, Sustainability, and start-ups. His consulting includes legal work, contracts and contracting, purchase due diligence, restructuring, supply/cool chain, logistics and distribution, funds establishment, and others. Initial engagement the climate and environmental area in 1996 started over 20 years in projects including CDM (clean development mechanism) and various energy and social projects experience. Teryy has also been involved in a number of community activities and charities and is the current chair of Community Law South Auckland which provides free legal services for the community.
