Terry Quilty


Qualified in Law with a B Com LLB from Otago and Masters in Law at Auckland (LLM hons). Terry also studied science and engineering and maintain a strong interest and undertake ongoing updating in both. His background is a mixture of teaching, research, and consulting originating with front line management roles in production management in steel, and moving to marketing, legal, and contracting, including as an in-house counsel.

Terry has worked in both listed and non-listed with responsibility for company administration and shareholder management. He has been a director in a wide range of businesses as well as a shareholder in manufacturing, tech, Sustainability, and start-ups. His consulting includes legal work, contracts and contracting, purchase due diligence, restructuring, supply/cool chain, logistics and distribution, funds establishment, and others. Initial engagement the climate and environmental area in 1996 started over 20 years in projects including CDM (clean development mechanism) and various energy and social projects experience. Teryy has also been involved in a number of community activities and charities and is the current chair of Community Law South Auckland which provides free legal services for the community.

Terry is the Course Convenor for our Corporate Law course.
