Jens Mueller

Jens has managed in and led, global businesses for 35+ years, in Europe, the United States and New Zealand as senior executive, CEO and Board Director. He has sat as one of the five Board Directors at the $1 Billion PHARMAC crown agency for longer than nine years and works with corporate leaders worldwide on business strategies, governance, turnarounds and global expansions. His expertise is working with MBA and Executive MBA students, in New Zealand, Colombia, Germany, UAE, China (as Professor at Shantou University Business School until 2021), the USA (as an Executive MBA instructor at Northern Illinois University for 30+ years until 2020 and 4 times Professor of the Year Winner) and Mexico (as Adjunct Professor of Tecnológico de Monterrey since 2022). Jens has taught Corporate/Business Law and Governance courses for 25+ years and holds a Juris Doctorate in Business Law and a Masters of Laws in International Tax Law, and is the Managing Director of the Barclays & Lloyds Immigration Law Advice practice.

Jens holds a royal honour as a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit, and he is a Licensed Immigration Advisor in New Zealand, the Chair of the LIA Association in NZ and a registered migration agent in Australia. One of the few academics with two doctorates he also holds three masters and two graduate diplomas. He sits as Councillor on the Council of Royal Society of New Zealand and is their Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee, is a regular contributor to news and a prolific book and journal author. He also is a trustee of the Pukehinahina Trust, one of the most influential Maori history trusts in New Zealand, based in Tauranga and is a Fellow of the Governance New Zealand Institute.
